Website Help
Getting Started
The Band Central website at www.bandcentral.com runs in any modern desktop or mobile browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (latest two versions). Nothing to install. On Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, or Linux the website is your full-featured option, since there is no native desktop app.
Go to bandcentral.com and click Login. Sign in with Google or with your email address; your account is created automatically the first time. Your email address is your account — Google and Email sign-in with the same address reach the same account. (Sign in with Apple is available in the iOS app.)
If you sign in with Email, click "Forgot Password" on the sign-in screen for a reset link. If you sign in with Google, your sign-in is managed by Google.
Bands
After signing in, click Create Band, give it a name, and you become the owner. Owners add members and hold the subscription that covers the whole band.
Only the owner can. Go to Bands and click Users. The person must already have a Band Central account — have them sign in once, then search by email and add them. Removing a member is the trash icon in the Users dialog.
If you are in more than one band, use the band selector on the dashboard. Each band has its own songs, setlists, and tags.
Yes, if you own both. From the song list use Share to copy songs (and your own lyrics) into another band you own. Copies stay linked and in two-way sync — edit in either band and the other updates — and show a "Synced from" badge until you Disconnect them. One share copies up to 100 songs. This is on the website first.
Plans & Subscriptions
No — every feature is free on every plan. A subscription only raises how many bands, members, songs, and setlists you can have. A band you are invited to has no limits because the owner's subscription covers everyone.
- Free — 1 band, 1 member, up to 50 songs, up to 5 setlists.
- Solo/Duo ($14.99/yr) — 2 bands, 2 members, unlimited songs & setlists.
- Small Band ($29.99/yr) — 5 bands, 6 members.
- Medium Band ($59.99/yr) — 10 bands, 20 members.
- Large Band ($79.99/yr) — unlimited bands, 100 members.
- Extra Large ($99.99/yr) — unlimited bands, 500 members.
Subscriptions are purchased in the iOS or Android app (billed through the App Store or Google Play). Once active, your higher limits apply everywhere you sign in, including the website. There is no separate web purchase.
Songs
Open Songs and click Add Song to enter the title, artist, lyrics, key, tempo, and more. The Songs list lets you search, sort, and filter by tag; click a song to view, edit, or (owner) delete it. Search ignores accents, so "cafe" finds "café."
Yes — the website has a bulk import: paste a spreadsheet/CSV of songs, map the columns (title, artist, key, etc.), and import. For lyrics and chart files, use the Dropbox import on your band card.
Yes. The web lyric editor renders ChordPro live as you type — chords above lyrics, styled section headers — with a side-by-side preview on desktop. There is also a free ChordPro Converter at bandcentral.com/tools/chordpro-converter that turns chords-over-lyrics text into ChordPro.
Not yet. Attached PDFs, images, and audio play in the iOS and Android apps. The website handles text and ChordPro lyrics; use a phone or tablet for charts and audio.
Setlists
Go to Setlists, click Add Setlist, name it, and add songs from your library. Open a setlist to drag songs into order, add breaks, and edit details. Setlist rows show the song count and total time at a glance, and changes sync to the whole band.
Open a setlist and choose Print for 1-, 2-, or 3-column layouts with adjustable font size and Save as PDF (breaks print as clear dividers). You can also export setlists and setlist songs as CSV or HTML, and export your song list as CSV.
Tags
Create and manage tags in the Tags section, then assign them when you edit a song. Filter the song list by tag to pull up a genre, a set, or songs you are learning. On desktop, multi-select shows a checkbox next to each tag.
Import
See the Migration Guide for the full walkthrough of moving your Setlist Helper data into Band Central.
On your band card, click Import and connect Dropbox. Put your PDF/ChordPro/audio files in a Dropbox folder first; Band Central links them to your songs. Run the import once — your other devices fill in through sync.
Account & Profile
Open the menu under your name and choose Profile to edit your display name and see your email, subscription, sign-in method, and member-since date.
On the Profile dialog you can send a password-reset email (email accounts) or set a password if you signed in with Google and want an email/password option too.
Free Tools
bandcentral.com/tools has a free Metronome, ChordPro Converter, Tap Tempo, and Chord Transpose — all usable without signing in.

Check your internet connection. If you are connected but changes won't stick, sign out and back in. If it continues, contact support.
